Sewer Cleaning & Jetting

Jet-vac desilting for foul & surface water drains. Same-day attendance, 24/7.

High-pressure jetting & jet vac desilting for sewers.

When to choose this service

Choose sewer cleaning when foul or surface-water drains are slow or surcharging, manholes rise, gullies overflow in heavy rain, or there are persistent sewer odours. Cleaning is also essential ahead of CCTV surveys, lining or new connections to ensure lines are clear and free-flowing.

On commercial and industrial sites, routine cleaning prevents flooding and hygiene issues by removing silt, grit, grease and debris from car parks, production areas and welfare facilities. For larger networks or heavy silt we deploy jet-vac tankers; for stubborn intrusions we can use mechanical root cutting.

Why Drain Alert

We combine high-pressure jetting with jet-vac desilting to remove silt, grease, scale and roots quickly with minimal disruption. Where helpful, we provide CCTV verification on request with screenshots or video.

All work is delivered by accredited engineers using a fully equipped fleet — jetting units, jet-vac tankers and electro-mechanical machines. We operate 24/7 with no call-out charge, manage traffic and confined-space procedures where required, and provide duty-of-care waste documentation. If defects are identified we’ll explain the options and give a free, fixed quote for targeted repairs such as patching or relining.

How we clean sewers

A simple, proven process for sewer cleaning, jet-vac desilting and drain jetting across the North of England, with most lines restored on the first visit.

Assess & set up

We agree RAMS on arrival, locate access and isolate flows where needed. Domestic, commercial and industrial sites covered; we confirm an ETA and aim for same-day attendance.

Jet & vac clean

High-pressure water jetting (HPWJ) scours deposits while our jet-vac removes silt, grit and FOG. Mechanical cutting is available for roots and hard intrusions. Most lines are restored on the first visit with minimal disruption.

Verify & document

On request we provide pre-/post-clean CCTV inspection with screenshots or video, locating defects such as collapsed pipes, root ingress or misaligned joints. Full survey reporting available when needed.

Prevent & plan

We clean down, share prevention advice and, if a defect is found, provide a free, fixed quote for remedial works (e.g. patching or relining). We can also set up planned PPM for gullies, interceptors and site drainage.

Safety & compliance for sewer cleaning

We’re fully insured and accredited by Constructionline, CHAS, UKSTT and SafeContractor.

For sewer cleaning this means we can provide RAMS on request and work to your site procedures, including inductions and permit-to-work. We manage confined-space procedures and traffic control where required. Our engineers carry out high-pressure jetting and jet-vac operations to industry best practice with the correct PPE and guarding. All waste is handled and disposed of responsibly, with duty-of-care documentation available.
