Planned & emergency pump-outs, deep cleans and compliance paperwork. Waste Transfer Notes included. Same-day across the North, 24/7.

Grease trap cleaning, maintenance & compliance.

When to choose this service

Book grease trap servicing if you have slow sinks, odours, overflows or backups; when starting up a new kitchen; before peak seasons; or to meet FOG compliance requirements. Suitable for under-sink traps, basement interceptors, external chambers and automatic grease removal units (AGRUs).

We include pump-out, deep clean, reassembly/re-prime and optional downstream line jetting so the system runs free.

Why Drain Alert

Vacuum pump-outs with thorough scrape & wash-down of walls and baffles; condition checks on seals and lids; re-prime to correct level; dosing check where installed; and a service sticker with due date. You’ll receive a digital Waste Transfer Note and a short service report with photos.

We can schedule routine maintenance (weekly–quarterly), respond 24/7 to emergencies and advise on BS EN 1825/manufacturer guidance for servicing frequency.

Experiencing backups too? See our drain unblocking. For persistent issues we can CCTV survey and plan a fix.

Safety & compliance for grease management

We’re fully insured and accredited by Constructionline, CHAS, UKSTT and SafeContractor, and we operate as a licensed waste carrier. Servicing follows BS EN 1825 and manufacturer guidance. Grease trap servicing FAQs

Quick answers to the questions we’re asked most. If you don’t see yours, call 0800 616 222.

1How often should a grease trap be serviced?
It depends on kitchen load and trap size—typically every 1–4 weeks for busy sites. Follow manufacturer guidance and the 25% rule (service when combined FOG/solids reach ~25% of volume).
2Do you provide Waste Transfer Notes?
Yes. You’ll receive a digital Waste Transfer Note and brief service report with photos for your compliance records.
3Can you service AGRUs (automatic grease removal units)?
Yes. We clean the unit, check skimmers/heaters and set timers as required. We service most leading brands.
4Do you clean the connecting pipework too?
We can jet downstream pipework during the same visit to prevent FOG build-up and odours—recommended if you’ve had slow drains.
5Can you work out of hours?
Yes—nights and weekends to avoid disruption. We’ll coordinate with your service windows.
6What happens to the waste?
All waste is removed by licensed carriers and transferred to approved facilities. Paperwork documents the chain of custody.
7Do you handle large interceptors?
Yes—from small under-sink traps to large external interceptors, including confined-space entries where required.
8Do you offer dosing systems?
We can check existing biological dosing and advise on suitable options. Dosing supports, but does not replace, physical separation and routine servicing.
9We still get odours after servicing—can you investigate?
Yes. We can smoke/dye test, check seals and survey lines by CCTV to identify any hidden issues.
10How much does servicing cost?
Pricing depends on trap size, access, frequency and any jetting or out-of-hours needs. Call for a same-day fixed quote.
