How we repair drains

A proven process for drain relining & repairs across the North of England, with minimal disruption.

Prepare & clean

Agree RAMS, protect work areas and jet/flush the line for a clean substrate. Traffic management and confined-space teams arranged where required.

Diagnose & plan

CCTV survey to code defects (MSCC5), confirm diameters/chainage and choose the best method—patch, full-length CIPP or excavation.

Repair (no-dig or dig)

Install patch or full-length liner (steam/UV/hot water cure) with robotic lateral reinstatement as needed. Where no-dig isn’t possible, excavate and replace with tidy reinstatement.

Reinstate, test & warrant

CCTV verification, water tests and handover. Receive before/after video, an MSCC5-coded report and a written guarantee with maintenance advice.

Safety & compliance for relining & repairs

We’re fully insured and accredited by Constructionline, CHAS, UKSTT and SafeContractor. We provide RAMS, manage confined-space entries, styrene/ventilation controls for resin works, and Chapter 8 traffic management. WRc-approved liners and resins are used to manufacturer guidance. Excavations follow NRSWA/SROH with tidy reinstatement. You’ll receive MSCC5-coded reports and duty-of-care paperwork for any waste generated.

Drain relining & repairs FAQs

Quick answers to the questions we’re asked most. If you don’t see yours, call 0800 616 222.

1What is drain relining?
A no-dig method that installs a resin-impregnated liner inside the pipe and cures it in place (CIPP), creating a new, smooth structural pipe within the old one.
2Will relining reduce my pipe capacity?
Only minimally. The liner wall is thin and the new smooth bore usually improves flow, especially where joints or rough surfaces previously caught debris.
3How long do repairs take?
Many patch repairs take 2–3 hours. Full-length relines on standard runs are often completed within a day, depending on access, curing method and preparation.
4When is excavation required instead?
Where there’s severe collapse, major deformation, insufficient access, or where levels/gradients must be re-set. We’ll advise the most cost-effective option.
5Do you provide CCTV before and after?
Yes—HD video and an MSCC5-coded WinCan report verifying the repair.
6Can you reline pitch fibre pipes?
Often, yes—typically after reforming and descaling where appropriate. We’ll assess during the survey and recommend the best approach.
7What guarantee do you provide?
All repairs come with a written guarantee. Term depends on method, materials and site conditions—we’ll confirm with your quote.
8Which pipe sizes/materials can you repair?
Clay, PVC, concrete and cast iron, from small-bore domestic up to larger commercial sewers. We’ll confirm specifics during the survey.
9Will the work disrupt my site?
No-dig methods minimise excavation and reinstatement. We can also work out of hours to reduce impact.
10How much does relining cost?
Pricing depends on length/diameter, access, curing method, reinstatements and any traffic management. We’ll provide a fixed quote after inspection.
